Mostly void, on purpose.

This sculpture is the fifth iteration of a single concept. Four failed attempts came before it. Each one was a necessary step, and each one is in here.

It's built from craft sticks and resin. The rings thicken toward the base, carrying the accumulated weight of repeated setback. Most of the piece is void: dark, empty, silent. The void is the heaviest part. It lingers.

Three resin panels trace the emotional and creative progression through failure itself.

Small moments that add up.

The craft sticks stand for the countless small moments: each reaction, each pivot, each tiny decision made in response to disappointment. None of them looks significant alone. Together they become resilience, the stubbornness it takes to try again.

Five directions I had to leave behind.

Before the rings, there were other ideas. These are the ones that didn't pan out.

Seven stick rings laid out flat on carpet between two long rails, the rings growing thicker toward the bottom

This is what failure looks like when you refuse to stop.
