Crooked Into, a slender wall-mounted sculpture with seven vertically stacked craft-stick rings, three filled with marbled resin.
What Remains · The Fifth Attempt

Crooked Into

Four failed attempts came first. Each one was a necessary step, and each one is in here.

Crooked Into is the fifth attempt at an idea I wasn't ready to give up on.

The three resin panels reflect how we learn and grow through failure. At the bottom, the colors move in different directions, chaotic and unsettled. In the middle, the movement begins to shift. At the top, the lines become more vertical and refined.

I wanted that progression to reflect something I've experienced: failure doesn't have to be the end of something. Sometimes it's how we find our way forward.
