Early Work & Explorations

Early Frames

I started making frames because I wanted to create something useful from craft sticks.

I experimented with different patterns, arrangements, and finishes, seeing how much variety I could get from such a simple material.

For a while, I even tried selling them on Etsy. I didn't sell a single one, but I enjoyed making them.

Most of these frames were made for specific prints I wanted to hang in my home. I liked the idea of creating a frame that complemented the artwork rather than simply buying one.

The C & H frame came later, when my son and daughter-in-law asked me to make one for them.

I don't make many frames anymore, but they were a fun way to experiment with patterns and learn more about working with craft sticks.
