Span II

The first bridge I built from craft sticks was a science fair project with my son. I think of that one as Span I.

A couple of years later, I found myself missing working with craft sticks. I wanted to build something again, partly because I enjoyed it and partly because I wanted a reminder of where it all started.

So I made Span II, a smaller bridge designed to hang on the wall and serve as a shelf.

I still have it in my office, where it gets used regularly.

It's a simple piece, but I enjoy having something around that reminds me of how this all began.
