Vessel

2026 · Mixed-media sculpture with integrated light

Full view of Vessel glowing warmly against a black background, with long curved wooden elements surrounding a central column

We are shaped by the people closest to us, just as we shape them. Their influence becomes part of who we are, and our influence continues through them, often reaching people we will never know.

Vessel explores these relationships through light, shadow, and reflection. Its unfinished interior gradually becomes more refined toward the outside, reflecting the different parts of ourselves we share with others.

Some people know our rough edges. Others see only what we choose to show them.

The light we bring into the lives of others leaves its mark, as do the shadows and reflections they leave with us.
